Realtime Writers Act (Congressional Record)

This is a gently edited version of actual Congressional Record on a bill known as the Realtime Writers Act.

These drills can be very hard. Most of our other drills are drills designed to help you write better. These drills are closer to being a test of your skills. If you find them too difficult, please reduce the speed.

This drill has extended writing of up to 15 minutes per drill. This CD is available for students at these three levels: 140, 160, 180 wpm. Please see the description. The sets of drills are slightly different for each speed.

140 Level CD

• One 15-minute drill
• the 15-minute drill is then broken down into three 5-minute drills
• The 5-minute drills are then broken down into 1-minute drills.
• The 140 CD has all of these drills at 120, 140, and 160 wpm.

The 160 Level CD

• One 15-minute drill
• the 15-minute drill is then broken down into three 5-minute drills
• The 5-minute drills are then broken down into 1-minute drills.
• The 160 CD has all of these drills at 140 and 160 wpm.
• At the 180 level, the drills are the same, except that they are one minute short. That means that there is a 14-minute drill; two 5-minute drills and one 4-minute drill; and 14 1-minute drills.

The 180 Level CD

• One 15-minute drill
• the 15-minute drill is then broken down into three 5-minute drills
• The 5-minute drills are then broken down into 1-minute drills.
• The 180 CD has all of these drills at 160 wpm only. It has the same drills at 180, 200 and 220, except for the following limitations.
1. At the 180 level, the drills are the same, except that they are one minute short. That means that there is a 14-minute drill; two 5-minute drills, and 14 1-minute drills.
2. The 200 and 220 drills are all 1-minute drills. There are no 5-minute or 15-minute drills at these speeds.
